Nammo miss you

I wanna quickly scribble down how I feel now - OVERWHELMED.

It’s easy - before my eyes, runs this amazing clip of the most beautiful moments of my life!
The first time I met you, the times I was mad at you, the times I felt I was here just for you…..

Oh you make me so proud! It’s so difficult for me to let you know the little things that are so AMZING about you.
I know i sound like a teenager, talking about her first kiss- what the hell, I feel am basking in your love...
You know what I mean :-)

Meri zindgi ki ruh ho tum
Meri chahat ki junoon ho tum

Pyar karna to tumse seekha hai maine
Zindgi ki ehmiyat to tumse seekhi hai maine ....

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

It was all really hazy... oh! I just found a more apt description..
Have you seen the "FUZZYlogic" commercial? - Now you know what I mean.

It felt like my eyelids were glued, I had to tear them open.
"Are you okay", "Do you hear me" asked Helen
"I need to pee" I replied - Honestly, this is the only thing i remember as the anesthesia was wearing off.

A couple of minutes later, Helen said "Your family is anxious to see you"

"Nammo , Nammo...."
Looking at Sumeet stand next to me felt like the best thing in the world.

And since then...................

Every meal, "they" have been around to make sure I ate well. They make me laugh. Ensure I am not reminded of the pain and the anxiety of recovery.
They are around me all the time, facebook me, call me, mail me.... you name it!!

I am so glad to have such a wonderful set of friends by my side, who make sure I never forget to smile, never fear the task ahead of me, never lose heart....
Having them around me is like playing the complete season of”FRIENDS" - back to back!!

Today at breakfast we have all promised to meet at the Thanksgiving holiday. And why on - thanksgiving?
In this land, a home away from home, they are the only family I have. Hell Yeah! we will celebrate Thanksgiving just the it has to be.

There is only one way I can think of to put all of this together, and every word of this is true

So no one told you life was going to be this way.

Your job's a joke, you're broke, you're love life's DOA.

It's like you're always stuck in second gear, Well, it hasn't been your day, your week, your month, or even your year.

But, I'll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour.

I'll be there for you, like I've been there before. I'll be there for you, cause you're there for me too.

You're still in bed at ten, the work began at eight.

You've burned your breakfast, so far, things are going great.

Your mother warned you there'd be days like these, But she didn't tell you when the world has brought you down to your knees.

No one could ever know me, no one could ever see me.

Seems like you're the only one who knows what it's like to be me.

Someone to face the day with, make it through all the rest with, Someone I'll always laugh with, even at my worst, I'm best with you.

It's like you're always stuck in second gear, Well, it hasn't been your day, your week, your month, or even your year.
But, I'll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour. I'll be there for you, like I've been there before. I'll be there for you, cause you're there for me too.

It's all about MAYA...

We live in a world of logic and reasoning. In any decision that we take, we ponder over the pros and cons, take a million opinions, read blogs, talk to people who have had similar situations.
Yet there are cases where the outcome is "Totally" different from what one would have anticipated.

Maybe many of us live in a "Fool's Paradise" - and yeah there are only a handful of things in ones entire life that he/she can truely control. We spend our lives planning "what to do next"?

List 10 things that you did today whose outcome could have been controlled by you? Maybe i would go as far as saying " I had complete control over an office memo I wrote this morning".
In the grand scheme of things this is SO menaingless. Are we chasing something all our life that just does not exist? Maybe we do. I do not know the answer to this.

I am certain it is going to be long and tiring quest but I am determined to find the unknown.

Meet the Geeks ......

This post is dedicated to my dear friends of the CMU MISM 09 batch!!!

2 more days to go, and they are all going to be not what they are today - "STUDENTS"!

It’s so difficult to believe that it’s all over! It just feels like yesterday when Sumeet and I were counting every cent in all our bank accounts to see if we could manage the tuition and now here we are 2 DAYS AWAY FROM HIS FINAL PRESENTATION!!!!!!

What the hell! now I sound like a single mom who just put her third son through school..... "Quit it Nams" :-0

Lemme give u a sneak peek in to my world of goofy, crazy, whachos

Meet GERSIDAR( Jer- see- daar). Gersidar is a new word that I have coined which is a combo of German, Desi and "Chak de Phatte". He claims to be a die hard fan of Shah Rukh Khan, seen allll....of SRK's movies and yeah of course claims to know all the songs by the rot. But guess what, when its time to karaoke the best he can come up with is La-la-la-la .

I have finally found someone who can talk endlessly and laugh at his own jokes just like I do.... Its such a relief! Whao, I bet people who know me will agree with me 100%, its wonderful to find partners in crime. Gersidar is an emotional, witty, childlike GEEK. He has his one way of letting us know how MUCH he cares..... I will miss ya when you are gone.

Roll camera and meet ma fren "Mr OK", Mr OK is born with a pair of "Nikon 18 – 55 mm" lenses in his eyes. As the name suggests, Mr Ok is okay with anything. He is game to everything. Lets do this, lets do that, lets go there- he is always Okay!!!

How do you do this?????? Well Mr OK as I say is gifted :). Mr Ok will NEVER feel lonely, throw him in the north pole and guess what - “he is a HAPPY MAN”, he sure will know a few whales ... oo how did I miss the deadly sharks? Am sure they’ve been out on a hot date 2 summers ago ... no kidding.

Whao Mr Ok, for once I wanna hear a "Not ok" from you... phulleeze.

She is a combination of the fearsome goddess Durga and gentle Mother Teresa. Ain’t that like ICYHOT??? A Combination of “goddess Durga and Mother Teresa” - is this not an oxymoron? :-0 .She has the best dance moves eva... like in the 70s :). She is worse than a 5 year old when she tries to change the topic of discussion. OMG she is beyond pathetic and we guys love to put her in the spot.

My my it’s a sight. MS Teresa "was" a gifted photographer. I have used a “was” intentionally because she was- until she took classes at a prestigious university. In her recent edits people look possessed and more like Black walking objects. Well we have all appreciated her for her efforts because this moron put the pics on facebook. Cmon what do you say on facebook!!!! Hence I had to resort to my blog to bitch about her editing skills.

I am loving it :)

Oh how could I miss Mr Everywhere. People could just dream of being paid to plan parties at school. He has the BEST job in the world :). An athlete who let go an opportunity to  represent India in the 2008 Olympics ( In all categories) is “Mr Everywhere”.  Oh my what a player, I must say he is. Pete Samprass, Sachin Tendulkar and in 1 body :P

You will find this dude in ALL parties! I aint joking. Oh could I not tell you this, we are certain he has been deprived of food from eternity else how can you explain his appetite :D. His motto "Lets go, Lets go, Lets Go"

Meet Miss Applebee. how can u take the stairs all the time???/ how how how? Guys this woman has as far as I can remember taken the stairs all the freakin time!!!!!!!!!!

Oh! Here is another one. I have never met anybody who eats apples as much as she does. Please  tell me this has indeed kept the Doctor away. One person who has unleashed her creativity at school is Ms Applebee who took "African Dance"  as a cource work. People this is for real. Ms Applebee cannot get over her memories of “Scottsdale” and the world famous “Sedona” .Oh yeah and her love for “poha chaha” and the honor SHE has given to Pune as the “World’s most AWESOMEEEEEEEE city”… uff get over it gal :P

Meet Dilli da Puttar! If only I could describe to you the way he uses his voluminous vocab of Hindi slang aka Galli. Oh man, with his head high sings the chorus "M## Ch*(, B$# C&^%" Oh this is sight to see... no words can describe him! You rock!

A passionate, emotional, true Dilli da puttar. Who is unbeaten in Dumb Charades. His imagination is limitless.. DDP you are the best. Oh I almost forgot to mention this... meet a cleanliness freak of the year. On second thoughts he falls a lill short of Adrian monk..... hahaha. For those of you who don't know about Adrian Monk – plz wiki!

Now spotlights on Mr Chilllllll..... The coolest person I have met. He has defeated my hubby chubby on the Chillometer, I know I know…. just cool it, its time to face the facts .. hehhehe. His dance moves are unbelievable and an instant hit. The trick is to dance without "Moving your feet"!!!! He has the grace of an accomplished Underwood don, If I may say " Vito Corleone" :-)

A die hard biker who was gifted a car by his beloved uncle. By the way Mr Chill is scrambling for a driver's licence... Sometimes life has its own ways of poking fun at you! His name is never spelt right because his name is spelt differently and this freaks him out, but being Mr chill he cannot let the world know he is freaking out and hence, manages to pretend chill

The one who brings the "Can do" attitude to the table is my friend from the far east. I’d like to name him Mr Possible. I love the way he says" It’s Possible". From what I have seen, his ability to adapt and learn new things is phenomenal. And the way he learnt some Hindi slang are amazing. I will leave it upto you, to picture Mr Possible say "B$# CH&^" DDP. I wish I could post a littel clip to help you visualize this. Mr Possible's interests to try out new things is intriguing. Although I will not go to specifics here. hehe

In all the excitement of describing my friends,   I totally missed my roommate. You can never ask for more. He is so quiet, never interferes with anything I do, minds his own shit! He is coolest of the dudes! no Kidding. When I organize a party at my place he is always there to help. When I am having a rough day he is smart enough to know its better to be "unavailable" ... LOL. He is sweet guy and I wish him the best.

Well for those you, who do not know me, I am talking about my Better half.

Right from the time he has joined school, it's been like living days that are 5 hrs long, the days are never enough and there is ALWAYS so much to do.

It’s been a beautiful time here at CMU and this write up is dedicated to CMU MISM 09. Guys you rock. You are the best. I did not have a chance to spend a lot of time with accomplished people like you ( Ahem, Ahem). I know there was no time :P

Now that you graduate there will be all the time in the works to know each of you better.... so wait for my next post.

Till then enjoy this

What have I heard over and over at HBH

Cut 1 :)

It was yet another gloomy day and I for inexplicable reasons had nothing to do this afternoon. I made myself some coffee and there was burst of energy and thus sprouted an idea- "Why don't I blog?”. Its my little kaleidoscope, if I may call this so.

Although the idea amused me I wanted to spend time reading a few blogs. I started with my dear friend Anusha's blog which I think is simple yet very powerful. Then I visited my dear husband's blog and was not 1 bit surprised. What I found there was that it was never updated after the very first post. I am determined not to go down that route. (No hard feelings Sumeet :-))

I must admit that I am technically impaired and a simple web registration process is quiet a challenge. But what was mammoth of a task was to find the right name for the blog. I have finally zeroed down on quafeeandcoffee. However, I am not sure how long I will like this for.

My day uno with this new found fetish looks successful so far...
